Aisha Jamila Hinds is a famous American actor. She is known for her roles in the the TV show The Shield, and True Blood. She has proved her versatility in 2003 with her outstanding appearances on TV shows such as 9-1-1 Detroit as well as 1-8-7 and Under the Dome. Her first recognition came from her performance as Anna in the film Assault on Precinct 13. It was however her performance as feminist activist Fannie Lou Hamer on the film biographical All the Way that finally gave her acclaim as an actress. Hind was also acknowledged by critics for her portrayal as Harriet Tubman in WGN America's classic drama series Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. The show has been renewed for a new season by 20th Century Fox Television.
